Mr. Henry Chan is a Piano Technical Specialist with over 36 years of hands-on experience, starting his journey in 1988. Initially trained and employed as a Piano Tuner Technician at Yamaha Music in Malaysia, he honed his skills under the tutelage of specialists from Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan. Shortly after, he pursued a degree in Piano Engineering in Ohio, United States. Upon graduating, Henry founded The Crafting Music Academy, where he began offering services such as piano tuning, repair, servicing, and sales. As demand for pianos grew, he expanded the business into a full-fledged piano factory, specializing in the assembly, repair, and refurbishment of pianos.

Henry is currently a Piano Technical Consultant for Stichel Piano and Neugerman Piano, companies based in Germany and China.

Henry is also the Overseas Trade Director of Hailun Piano for the South East Asia.

Piano and music have always been at the heart of Henry’s passion and lifestyle. For him, fixing a piano is not merely an endpoint but a step toward enhancing its performance to its fullest potential. Every piano that Henry works on is meticulously designed and improved to meet the unique needs of each user, focusing on key sensitivity, touch quality, and tonal richness. His meticulous attention to detail is evident in his craftsmanship. Additionally, Henry enjoys travelling and sharing his extensive knowledge through talks and seminars, actively participating in events across China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Over the years, he has been offered multiple times the position of Piano Technical Consultant in China. The job requires Henry to be responsible for improving the pianos’ technology and quality.
